All The Camelia jewels are embroidered and assembled by hand by me in my small workshop located sometimes in N\u00eemes, in the south of France, sometimes in Leipzig in the East of Germany.<\/p>

The particularity of The Camelia bijoux is the colorful embroidery that covers every jewel. The embroidery I use is a traditional Moroccan embroidery: F\u00e8s embroidery<\/b>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As the name suggests, this embroidery originates from <\/span>F\u00e8s<\/b><\/span>, imperial city located in the North-East of Morocco. Embroidery is a <\/span>very old Moroccan tradition<\/b><\/span>so that every region, even city, has its own style.\u00a0<\/span>The monochrome F\u00e8s embroidery is displayed in blue, red, black or garnet with<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>geometrical and floral patterns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Beyond its resolutely modern aesthetic, its particularity lies in the fact that it is <\/span>strictly identical on both sides.<\/b><\/span>Turn over a F\u00e8s embroidery and you will discover scrupulously the same pattern on the other side. The same goes for my jewelry.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>It is this specificity that makes the F\u00e8s embroidery a very complex technique to learn and master.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I was immediately fascinated by this embroidery during my internship at Sal\u00e9 embroidery school in Morocco<\/b><\/span> (<\/span>see page \"The designer\" to know more).<\/u><\/a>F\u00e8s embroidery, like the majority of Moroccan embroidery, is traditionally applied to utilitarian textile objects. It is used to sublimate objects of everyday use such as linen and clothes.<\/span><\/p>

My use of the F\u00e8s embroidery in the jewelery differs from the Moroccan traditions with the aim of <\/span>modernizing<\/b><\/span> and <\/span>to make known<\/b><\/span> this ancestral embroidery beyond the borders of Morocco.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Camelia bijoux is the meeting of Moroccan and French know-how in order to enhance the value of craftsmanship.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Je dessine toutes les pi\u00e8ces<\/b> que je brode sur l’ordinateur. Elles sont alors d\u00e9coup\u00e9es et per\u00e7\u00e9es dans des plaques de laiton brut dans le nord de l’Italie<\/b>. Une fois les pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9coup\u00e9es, elles passent entre les mains de ma doreuse situ\u00e9e en r\u00e9gion parisienne<\/b>. Elle s’occupe de recouvrir tous les bijoux d’une couche d’or 24 carats<\/b> pour qu’ils soient brillants et r\u00e9sistants \u00e0 la vie.
